Zarafshan: the city that grew around the plant
HMP-2 and Zarafshan cannot be read apart. Production, vocational school and city life form one landscape.
On the map Zarafshan sits on the desert line of Navoi region. The meaning of the city is different: it was built around HMP-2 and the Muruntau flow. Housing, schools, vocational training and the shift bus are tied to the production rhythm.
